Who, you ask, is this person with the strange name?

Most often I’m a writer, other times a multimedia reporter, and sometimes I’m an ESL teacher too.

In the past I’ve also dipped my toes into the fun fields of fruit picking! film acting! waitressing! call-centre repping!

Why so many random jobs?

First: I’m a millennial and jobs are scarce.

Second: My magic Canadian passport has let me live, study, or work in 24 countries, and that doesn’t come cheap.

Third: I’m a Salvadoran born in Mexico and raised in Winnipeg… and, well, it can take some doing to get past that.

In other news, I hold a Masters of Journalism from the University of British Columbia and an MFA in Creative Writing from Rutgers-Newark.

The mountains, or the sea, are where I’d rather be.

All of the above is coming together in a novel that I’m nearly finished writing (hahaha).

But seriously, the goal is always to give back where I can, attempt to do some good in the world, and enjoy this weird existence.
